O Femina – Festival Internacional de Cinema Feminino exibe majoritariamente filmes dirigidos por mulheres em competição e mostras temáticas com o objetivo de promover o trabalho das mulheres no cinema e na cultura; estimular o surgimento de novas diretoras e a inserção da mulher no mercado de trabalho audiovisual, assim como a produção de filmes com temática feminina; divulgar as diretoras brasileiras, e trazer para o Brasil a produção internacional. Também exibe filmes dirigidos por homens desde que abordem questões femininas ou tenham mulheres como protagonistas, e co-dirigidos por homens e mulheres. Exibe filmes de todos os gêneros, duração, regiões do país e continentes.

O Femina realiza em 2012 a sua 9ª edição entre 2 a 8 de julho na CAIXA Cultural Rio de Janeiro. As inscrições de filmes estão abertas até 6 de abril!

Femina – International Women’s Film Festival screens mainly films directed by women in competition and thematic showcases. Our goal is to promote the work of women in film and culture; foster the emergence of female directors and the presence of women in the audiovisual work market, as well as the production of films with feminine subject matter; showcase Brazilian directors, and bring international production to Brazil. The festival also screens films directed by men, as long as they deal with feminine issues or have women as protagonists, and films co-directed by men and women. Films of all genders, durations, regions of the country and continents..

Femina reaches its 9th edition during July 02-08, 2012, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The deadline for entries is April 06th, 2012.
